Fair terms for using our contractor AI tools

The Bottom Line: Use our AI assistant to run your contracting business better. Don't abuse the service, pay your bills on time, and we'll keep helping you get jobs done and paid fast.

Agreement to Terms

By using DayJob, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, don't use our service. These terms apply to all users of our AI assistant platform for contractors.

What We Provide

Core Services

  • AI-powered customer call handling and screening
  • Automated appointment scheduling and reminders
  • Invoice generation and payment processing assistance
  • Customer communication management
  • Job tracking and follow-up automation

Service Availability

We aim for 99.9% uptime but can't guarantee the service will be available 24/7. Scheduled maintenance will be announced in advance when possible.

Your Account and Responsibilities

Account Setup

  • Provide accurate business information
  • Keep your login credentials secure
  • You're responsible for all activity under your account
  • One account per business - no sharing accounts between companies

Acceptable Use

You agree to use our service only for legitimate contracting business purposes. Don't:

  • Use the service for illegal activities
  • Spam customers or make unwanted calls
  • Try to reverse engineer or hack our systems
  • Share your account with competitors
  • Use the service to impersonate other businesses

AI Assistant Guidelines

Call Handling

  • Our AI identifies itself as an assistant for your business
  • You control what information the AI can access and share
  • You're responsible for training the AI with accurate business info
  • Final decisions on customer interactions remain yours

Customer Data

  • You own your customer data - we just help you manage it
  • You're responsible for having permission to collect customer information
  • Comply with local privacy laws in your area

Billing and Payments

Subscription Plans

  • Monthly or annual billing cycles
  • Payments are due at the start of each billing period
  • Usage-based charges for call minutes or additional features
  • Prices may change with 30 days notice

Payment Processing

  • We use secure third-party payment processors
  • Keep your payment information current
  • Late payments may result in service suspension
  • We'll try to collect failed payments but may suspend service after multiple failures

Important: If your account is suspended for non-payment, you may lose access to customer data and call recordings. Keep your billing current to avoid disruption.

Intellectual Property

Our Technology

  • DayJob owns our software, AI models, and platform
  • You get a license to use our service, not own it
  • Don't copy, modify, or redistribute our technology

Your Content

  • You keep ownership of your business data and customer information
  • You give us permission to use your data to provide our services
  • We may use anonymized data to improve our AI

Limitation of Liability

What We're Responsible For

  • Providing the service as described
  • Keeping your data secure
  • Supporting you when things go wrong

What We're Not Responsible For

  • Lost business due to service interruptions
  • Customer complaints about AI interactions (though we'll help resolve them)
  • Compliance with local business licensing or regulations
  • Third-party integrations or services

Important Limitation: Our total liability to you can't exceed what you've paid us in the last 12 months. We're here to help your business succeed, but you're ultimately responsible for your customer relationships and business operations.

Termination

You Can Cancel Anytime

  • Cancel through your account dashboard
  • Service continues until the end of your billing period
  • You can export your data before canceling
  • No cancellation fees

When We Might Suspend Service

  • Non-payment after multiple attempts
  • Violation of these terms
  • Misuse of the service
  • We'll give you notice and a chance to fix most issues

Changes to Service

We're constantly improving our AI and adding features. We may:

  • Add new features and capabilities
  • Modify existing features based on user feedback
  • Change pricing with reasonable notice
  • Discontinue features that aren't working well

Dispute Resolution

If something goes wrong, let's talk it out first. Contact our support team and we'll work to resolve any issues. For serious disputes, we'll use binding arbitration rather than courts.

Updates to These Terms

We'll notify you of significant changes via email and through your account. Continued use means you accept the updated terms.
